The Alaska Space Grant Program supports pre-college education initiatives that attract and retain students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines through a progression of educational opportunities for students, teachers, and faculty.

There are two priority themes. Preference is given to projects that engage middle school teachers in hands-on curriculum enhancement capabilities and provide summer opportunities for secondary students on college campuses.

Eligible applicants are US citizens working at one of the program’s affiliated institutions. Women, faculty from underrepresented groups, and early career faculty are encouraged to apply.

The application deadline is March 1, annually.
