Sabbatical Grants for Religious Scholars (nationwide)

The Louisville Institute’s First Book Grant Program for Minority Scholars seeks to assist junior, non-tenured religion scholars of color to complete a major research and book project focused on some issue pertaining to American Christianity related to the priorities of the Louisville Institute.  The application deadline is January 15, 2024




Grants for Nonprofit Organizations in Louisa County Iowa
The Community Foundation of Louisa County is an affiliate foundation of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine. Applications to the annual grant cycle will be accepted starting September 1.  The application deadline is September 30, 2023




Quality of Life Grants in Iowa and Nebraska

The Iowa West Foundation accepts grant applications three times through the year, for community development, education, economic development and human services.  Letters of inquiry deadlines are January 1, May 1, and September 1.



Wildfire Defense Grants (nationally available)
The United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, is accepting applications to the Community Wildfire Defense Grant program.  The application deadline is October 31, 2023




Community History Grants (National)

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Historic Preservation Grants committee is accepting grant applications to provide financial support to projects in local communities to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.  The application deadline is October 31, 2023

 



Award for Successful Educational Program (nationwide)

Established through the Daniel and Barbara Chapman Trust, the Chapman Prize recognizes and honors each year the efforts and achievements of individuals and organizations in the U.S. who make significant contributions to American society.  The award will focus on a different theme each year, with Educational Success selected as the category for 2023.  The application deadline is October 15, 2023




Social Justice Grants (nationally available)

The A.J. Muste Memorial Institute is accepting applications to the Social Justice Fund.  The Fund makes grants for grassroots activist projects in the US, giving priority to those with small budgets and little access to more mainstream funding sources.  The application deadline is October 23, 2023




STEM Program and Human Services Grants in Iowa
Storey Kenworthy & Workspace Foundation for Giving accepts grant applications annually.  The application period runs from July 1 - August 31.




Grants for Programs in the Arts, Alternative Health, and Environment

The Dr. Robert C. and Tina Sohn Foundation supports a broad spectrum of causes which support the environment, alternative health care and the arts. Applications may be submitted any time during the year

 



Corporate Foundation Grants

The Corning Incorporated Foundation provides grants across several program areas including education, community service, and libraries.  Letters are accepted anytime throughout the year.
