Community Improvement Grants for Nonprofit Organizations (multiple states)
The Ash Grove Charitable Foundation is a company sponsored Foundation that makes grants in communities where Ash Grove Cement Company operates. Applications are accepted and reviewed on a quarterly basis through November 15, 2024

Workforce Development Grants (nationally available)

Lowe's Foundation is accepting applications to the Gable Grants program.  This is a 5-year, $50 million commitment to train 50,000 job-ready skilled tradespeople to build a stronger infrastructure that supports our communities for the long term.  The application deadline is August 31, 2024


Social Justice Grants (nationally available)

The A.J. Muste Memorial Institute is accepting applications to the Social Justice Fund.  The Fund makes grants for grassroots activist projects in the US, giving priority to those with small budgets and little access to more mainstream funding sources.  The application deadline is October 21, 2024

Award for Health and Wellness Program (nationwide)

Established through the Daniel and Barbara Chapman Trust, the Chapman Prize recognizes and honors each year the efforts and achievements of individuals and organizations in the U.S. who make significant contributions to American society.  The application deadline is September 30, 2024

Grants for Sports Related Events in Iowa

The Cedar Valley Sports Commission accepts grant requests for sports-related projects and events that bring visitors to the Cedar Valley. This program is designed to stimulate development, interest, and participation in events and projects within the Cedar Valley.  Deadlines are dependent on the funding amount requested.

Grants for Music Instruments (National)

Classics for Kids Foundation aims to bridge the funding gap and enhance school music programs by providing matching grants for beautiful new stringed instruments.  Applications are accepted on a quarterly basis.

Grants for Nonprofit Organizations in Iowa

The Monona County Community Partners Foundation (MCCPF), an affiliate of the Siouxland Community Foundation, accepts grant applications from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and units of local government on an annual basis.  The application period runs from December 1 - March 1, annually.

Quality of Life Grants in Iowa and Nebraska

The Iowa West Foundation accepts grant applications three times through the year, for community development, education, economic development and human services.  Letters of inquiry deadlines are January 1, May 1, and September 1.

STEM Program and Human Services Grants in Iowa
Storey Kenworthy & Workspace Foundation for Giving accepts grant applications annually.  The application period runs from July 1 - August 31.

Grants for Programs in the Arts, Alternative Health, and Environment

The Dr. Robert C. and Tina Sohn Foundation supports a broad spectrum of causes which support the environment, alternative health care and the arts. Applications may be submitted any time during the year
