Grants for Programs in the Arts, Alternative Health, and Environment

The Dr. Robert C. and Tina Sohn Foundation supports a broad spectrum of causes which support the environment, alternative health care and the arts. Applications may be submitted any time during the year

 



Corporate Foundation Grants

The Corning Incorporated Foundation provides grants across several program areas including education, community service, and libraries.  Letters are accepted anytime throughout the year.



Human Service Program Grants

The Viking Foundation of Lincoln is accepting grant applications from 501(c)(3) organizations in Lancaster County, Nebraska; Polk County, Iowa; and Denver County, Colorado. The grants will be for those who are challenged with education, poverty, housing, gender, mental and physical health, and other issues.  The application deadline is October 1, annually.



Social Justice Grants (National)

The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations is accepting proposals from non-Unitarian Universalist groups in the U.S. and Canada for community organizing campaigns aimed at creating systemic change in the economic, social, and political structures that affect the lives of those who have been excluded from resources, power, and the right to self-determination.  The application deadlines are generally around March 15 and September 30.



Community Foundation Grants in Iowa

The goal of the Harrison County Community Foundation is to improve the quality of life in Harrison County by supporting needs that are not being met in the areas of civic, cultural, health, education and social service.  Applications are accepted semi-annually.



American Express Grants (National)

American Express makes grants in three key areas: Backing Equal Futures, Backing Small, and Backing Low-Carbon Communities.   Introductions are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis throughout the year.



Grants to Research a Cure for Tinnitus (National)

The American Tinnitus Association Research Grant Program financially supports scientific studies investigating tinnitus. Studies must be directly concerned with tinnitus and contribute to ATA's goal of finding a cure.  Letters of interest may be submitted at any time.



Pets in the Classroom Grant

Pets in the Classroom is an educational grants program supporting responsible pet care for school classrooms. Sponsored by the Pet Care Trust, the goal of the program is to establish healthy child-pet relationships at an early age by supporting responsible pet care in Pre-Kindergarten-9th Grade classrooms across the U.S. and Canada in both public and private schools.  The application period is August 1 - June 1, annually.


Grants for Pet Welfare Organizations (multiple states)
Nestle Purina makes grants to pet welfare organizations that promote pet welfare to support growth in the areas of capacity building, capital improvements and program and spay/neuter funding outside of an event.   Applications may be submitted at any time.

 



Education Program Grants Available (multiple states)

The Donaldson Foundation makes grants to positively impact the communities in which Donaldson Company employees live and work by supporting education. 

Application deadlines are March 1 and October 1.
