The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control accepts applications for community grants addressing underage drinking and access to alcohol.

The grants are open to community coalitions, law enforcement agencies, schools, and nonprofit, faith-based and prevention-related groups.

Applicants are asked to demonstrate innovative programs that encourage partnership between organizations, and must address one or more of the following prevention priorities:

* Driving under the influence (DUI)
* Underage drinking
* Social providing or social hosting
* High-risk drinking

The application deadline is generally on or around March 1, annually
