The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is accepting grant applications to fund youth hunting and shooting activities.
Nonprofit civic, fraternal, wildlife and shooting organizations that are registered with the North Dakota Secretary of State’s office to provide public service are eligible to apply. The organization must have in place: officers, a treasury account and liability coverage. One organization contact must be designated to more easily facilitate the grant process.
This is a reimbursement grant. The following expenses are eligible:
a) Advertising and promotion
b) Event insurance premiums
c) Event specific equipment rental (tent, trailer, sanitary facility, etc.)
d) Non-monetary landowner appreciation gifts
e) Ammunition, targets and safety equipment
Hunting events will receive priority over shooting-only events. Events must include a 25% in-kind match which includes volunteer time (calculated at $17/hr), and/or other expenses.
The application deadline is April 19, annually.
