The North Dakota Humanities Council is accepting letters of intent for public humanities programs. Grants support direct program costs of humanities projects that bring historical, cultural or ethical perspectives to topics and issues of interest to the communities.
Proposed projects and programs should engage participants in thinking critically about fundamental questions of value, purpose, and meaning; promote better understanding of ourselves and others, past and present; are conducted in a spirit of open and informed inquiry, providing multiple viewpoints where applicable; and involve partnerships between community organizations, cultural institutions, and scholars in the humanities.
Letters of inquiry for the spring cycle are due March 15, with proposals due April 1.
Letters of inquiry for the fall cycle are due September 15, with proposals due October 1.
