South Central Indiana REMC accepts applications to the Operation Round Up program throughout the year. The purpose of the SCI Membership Community Fund is to accumulate and disburse funds for charitable purposes in the service area of South Central Indiana REMC. The REMC’s service area includes Morgan, Owen, Brown, Monroe and portions of Johnson, Clay and Putnam Counties.

Any individual, family, group or organization located within South Central Indiana REMC’s service area is eligible to apply for funds. Generally, funds will be provided to meet the needs of applicants that aren’t being met through other sources of means. Specific program areas of interest have not been outlined. 

Recent grants made include:
Unionville Elementary PTO, Inc. for an outdoor fitness track - $1,000.00

Rescuenest, Inc. dba The Nest for senior/special needs animals - $1,000.00

Youth Connections for the Safe Place Program - $2,400.00

Community Kitchen of Monroe County for the Backpack Buddies Program - $6,000.00

New Hope Family Shelter, Inc. for repairs on third shelter home - $1,500.00
