Continental Divide Electric Cooperative is accepting grant applications from certified 501(c) (3) non-profit organizations that provide services within the co-op’s service area and are CDEC members.


Applicants have to be federally recognized as 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organizations in good standing, active account holders with CDEC, and not a previous Sharing Success grant recipient. Applicants must provide a typed narrative that describes how the organization intends to use the money and how it will benefit the community in one or more of the following areas:

* Energy Efficiency and or Renewable Energy – Grant funds can be used for promotion of energy efficiency, such as weatherization. Funds could be used for developing, planning or constructing a renewable energy source.
* Education – A project that can benefit students grades K-12.
* Environment – A project that can benefit the environment.
* Economic Development – A project that can promote or create economic development.

 

There is no deadline noted.  Grant applications are reviewed and granted at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
