The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut is accepting proposals from local nonprofit organizations.


The grants will be distributed to a number of causes including arts and culture, health care, economic opportunity, education, social services, and the environment. They are available to recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofits as well as most charitable, educational, and civic organizations in East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, Montville, New London, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Salem, Stonington and Waterford.


The Community Foundation says applications for discretionary grants in the Norwich and Windham County area are only be accepted by invitation.


The priority areas highlighted for these grants are programs aiming to strengthen families, improve access to resources in under-served areas, improve participation in cultural activities, use collaborative efforts and inclusive practices, use best practice and innovative approaches, and improve the quality of life in the region.


 

The application deadline is November 15, annually.
