The New Jersey Council for the Humanities is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve the people of New Jersey by developing, supporting and promoting projects that explore and interpret the human experience, foster cross-cultural understanding, and engage people in dialogue about matters of individual choice and public responsibility.


NJCH is especially interested in projects that address the Council’s theme of Justice, which encourages historical, philosophical, legal, political and/or cross-cultural reflection upon the concept of justice and its application in community and social institutions.



Draft deadlines for Mini Grant Applications (up to $3,000) are January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1.
