The Missouri Humanities Council accepts applications for major-grants twice each year. Funding is intended for projects and programs facilitating public conversations on topics that include history, religion, archaeology, anthropology, philosophy, literature, law, ethics, and languages.

Award notifications will be received with the same month of the deadline.

All applicant organizations must be Missouri-based.  Additionally, qualifying organizations and projects must meet one of the following criteria: non-profit status, civic-organization, educational organization, or cultural organization.

Deadlines are February 1 and August 1, annually.
