The Idaho Community Foundation is accepting applications to the Idaho Future Fund. The Future Fund is intended to support gaps in educational programs (preschool through 12th grade) that gravely affect the quality of education students receive in Idaho.
Grants will fall in to three categories:
1. Preschool Scholarships – Grants will support organizations, programs or projects that provide pre-kindergarten education to children. Funds must be used to provide scholarships to children who would not otherwise be able to attend or participate in these programs.
2. Charter Schools – Grants will support charter schools providing alternative models of education for students in their geographical area. Preference will be given to schools evidencing improved quality of education for students who might not otherwise be able to receive it.
3. Public Schools and Public School Libraries – Grants will support public schools and libraries in need of funding to support programs that have been cut due to lack of government funding.
Grants are intended to support most, but not necessarily all, of the funding required to create, sustain or reinvigorate impactful educational programs.
Organizations eligible to apply include tax exempt organizations with current 501(c)(3) public charity status and governmental agencies or departments, including public education institutions. ICF will occasionally fund projects initiated by organizations that do not have current federal tax exempt status if the organization secures a qualifying tax exempt fiscal sponsor.
Application deadlines coincide with the deadlines for the ICF regional grant cycles as follows:
Northern Region – Applications accepted from November 1 to January 15
Eastern Region – Applications accepted from February 1 to April 1
Southwestern Region – Applications accepted from May 1 to July 1
