Maximum Grant Amount
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is accepting grant applications from wildlife, shooting, fraternal and nonprofit civil organizations for the Encouraging Tomorrow’s Hunters Program, a grant program developed to assist recruitment of the next generation of hunters and shooters.
Reimbursements can be paid for the following expenses: a) advertising and promotion, b) event insurance premiums, c) event specific equipment and facilities rental (ex. tent, trailer, sanitary facility), d) hunting and safety equipment (ex. vests, blaze clothing), e) nonmonetary landowner appreciation gifts, f) ammunition, targets, clay thrower, etc
Past funding has enabled several groups to conduct youth pheasant and waterfowl hunts, while others have sponsored trap and other shooting events, including archery and rifle shooting. Hunting events will receive priority over shooting-only events.
Events must include a 25% in-kind match which includes volunteer time (calculated at $28/hr), and/or other expenses.
Any club or organization interested in conducting a youth hunting or shooting event is encouraged to review the funding information.
