The Duke Endowment accepts applications semi-annually for North Carolina Rural Church Grants. This program will offer funding to United Methodist Churches in rural areas for health and human service-related outreach programs, church development, and leadership programs.

Priority Funding Focus
  • Cultivate and support pastoral leaders; 
  • Reimagine church real estate; 
  • Build congregational capacity; 
  • Identify and test selected programs. 

Rural United Methodist churches in North Carolina are eligible. Rural areas are defined using the standards of Rural-Urban Commuting Area codes.
