Description
The Maine Theater Fund was established to strengthen and sustain theater performance throughout the state. Proposals for funding will be accepted from local, regional and statewide nonprofit theaters or theater groups in Maine whose primary purpose is the production of live theater. Funds will be awarded for programmatic, capacity-building, operating, and capital support.
Please include a list of the productions from either the prior or current season and their respective audience numbers. Limited supporting information about the project is welcome.
Proposals for funding will be accepted from local, regional and statewide nonprofit theaters in Maine. Applicants must be nonprofit, 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt organizations, or have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3) organization, public school, public agency, or Indian tribal government.
Deadline
The application period opens on June 15 and closes on September 15, annually.
