The Karma Foundation makes grants to local, national and international organizations. Grants to local organizations are limited to parts of New Jersey. New Jersey grants are restricted to Middlesex, Union, and Mercer Counties. Organizations based in New Jersey with regional or statewide scope will also be considered. Giving is primarily in the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, autism, education, literacy, public libraries in NJ, and the enrichment of Jewish life.

The foundation makes grants in the following categories:

* Capital needs

* Disaster relief

* Equipment and materials

* Operating expenses

* Special projects and programs

* Start-ups

Interested applicants should first contact the foundation with a letter of inquiry before submitting a proposal. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may be submitted at any time.
