Description

The Tri-City Ecology Center has grant funds available for young people and adults working on local environmental projects. To qualify, applicants must be a resident or organization in the Tri-City area (Fremont, Union City, Newark).

Examples of past projects are a sustainable garden watering system, worm composting at an elementary school, a "green fair" put on by Fremont high school students, a three-in-one composting bin for a community garden, a solar fountain, microscopes and binoculars for environmental education, and a number of Eagle Scout environmental projects.
