Description
The Community Foundation of Louisa County is an affiliate foundation of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine. Applications to the annual grant cycle will be accepted starting September 1.
The Foundation provides funding for a variety of interest areas including:
- Arts, Culture, & Humanities
- Education
- Environment
- Health
- Human Services (Family, Children and Youth)
- Public/Societal Benefit/Community Development
Preference will be given to projects and programs that focus on mental health. Further preference will be give to projects with matching funds and proof of collaboration with other community partners.
The quality, innovation, thoughtfulness and effectiveness of a project are of more importance than the specific area of interest. Applicants should consider how their projects can foster connections between Louisa County communities and residents, create partnerships with other organizations, promote cooperation, and encourage efficient utilization of community resources.
Eligibility
Grant awards will be paid to organizations with a 501(c)3 or equivalent IRS tax exempt status. If your organization is not a 501(c)3, but can partner with another organization that is, you can apply for funds using their designation as fiscal sponsor.
