Description
Applications are accepted twice annually for a grant funding opportunity with the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVEC). Called the POWER UP Community Fund, this program will be awarding grants to nonprofit groups involved in community improvement projects in the GVEC service area. The service area is spread throughout 13 counties, primarily DeWitt, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lavaca, and Wilson Counties, but also serving parts of Hays, Comal, Fayette, Caldwell, Goliad, Karnes, Victoria and Jackson Counties.

There will be two funding cycles per year. Grants are due February 15 (for grant decisions announced in April) and August 15 (for grant decisions announced in October) each year. Applications must be received (NOT postmarked) at any GVEC office by 5 p.m. on the day of the deadline. If the deadline falls on a holiday or weekend, the deadline is extended to the next regular business day.
