The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is accepting applications to the Fisheries Restoration Grant Program. Funding is available for anadromous salmonid restoration projects that address impacts of the ongoing drought. Drought restoration funds will be granted to projects located in anadromous waters within coastal watersheds and the Central Valley. Funding for drought restoration will total approximately $1.5 million and will be focused on habitat restoration, water conservation, education and drought planning.
The objective of the Fisheries Restoration Grant Program (FRGP) is to restore anadromous salmonid habitat with the goal of ensuring the survival and protection of the species in coastal areas of California.
The application deadline is April 16, 2019
