Project Helping Hand seeks to provide one-time grants of as much as $500 per classroom to teachers with a specific need for a specific project. Monterey public school teachers, grades K through 12, are encouraged to submit a request to meet a need not included in their school budgets.

For example, a teacher may request $350 to pay for a trip to the San Jose Children’s Discovery Museum. The Project Helping Hand Committee will review all submitted applications and approve which projects to fund.

Applications are accepted between September 1 and November 15, annually.
