Klamath Basin Audubon Society has grants available to support local individuals or nonprofit groups working on projects that contribute to opportunities for the community to experience and appreciate the region’s natural resources, including birds, bird habitats and other wildlife.

For example, past funding has supported the construction of local birding and hiking trails, the construction of schoolyard habitat areas, purchase of GPS units and other equipment for student use, improvements to a local wildlife rehabilitation center and veterinarian services to injured birds of prey.

Applications received are considered at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting (the second Thursday of each month). Applications must be received at least four days before the meeting at which it is to be considered.
