Americorps Service GrantsThis AmeriCorps State and National (AmeriCorps) accepts grant applications annually in specific focus areas. 

An optional notice of intent to apply is due by December 7, 2016. The full proposal due January 18, 2017.

Tourism Promotion Grants in Iowa

Tourism Grants in IowaMason City, Iowa is accepting applications for tourism marketing grants. The purpose of the Visit Mason City Tourism Marketing Grant is to assist in marketing projects for events, tournaments, conventions, activities, and facilities that drive tourism activity to Mason City and the North Iowa region.  

The next application deadline is February 1, 2017.

Arts Project Grants in Iowa

The Iowa Arts Council is accepting project grant applications. Project Grants create opportunities for the arts to flourish in Iowa by investing in projects that positively impact the vitality of the arts in the state, demonstrate public value, and support Iowa Arts Council funding priorities.  The next deadline is November 1, 2016. 

Capital Grants Available for Nonprofit Organizations (Multiple States)
The Sunderland Foundation makes grants annually to publicly supported charitable organizations with tax exempt status under section 501 [c] 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation prefers to make grants for capital and special projects rather than for annual operating expenses.   Applications may be submitted at any time.

Grants for Nonprofits in Iowa
The Greater Jefferson County Foundation is accepting grant applications for educational, cultural, civic and charitable purposes for the benefit of the greater community of Jefferson County, Iowa. Area communities benefiting from these grants include Fairfield, Batavia, Libertyville, Lockridge, Pleasant Plain, and Packwood.  The application deadline is June 1, annually.

Empowering Adair County Foundation accepts grant applications quarterly.  The application deadlines are January 15, March 15, May 15, and November 15.

The Cass County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications. The goal of the Foundation grant program is to improve the quality of life in the county by supporting needs that are not being met in the areas of civic, cultural, health, education and social service.  Application deadlines are February 1 and September 1, annually.

Human Service Program Grants

The Viking Foundation of Lincoln is accepting grant applications from 501(c)(3) organizations in Lancaster County, Nebraska; Polk County, Iowa; and Denver County, Colorado. The grants will be for those who are challenged with education, poverty, housing, gender, mental and physical health, and other issues.  The application deadline is October 1, annually.

Grants for Teachers

The Voya Unsung Heroes program (formerly the ING Unsung Heroes program) annually provides grants to K-12 educators utilizing new teaching methods and techniques that improve learning.  The application deadline is April 30, annually.

Community Benefit Grants in Iowa

Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino is accepting applications for Community Betterment Grants in the areas of economic development, education, arts and culture, health, and human services.  The application deadline is August 15, annually.
