Organizations in Eddy County seeking grants for an event or a project can apply for a grant from the county Lodgers Tax fund. The event or project must be in the unincorporated area of the county - in others words, outside the city limits.
Applications must be submitted to the county manager at least two weeks prior to a scheduled quarterly Lodgers Tax Advisory Committee in order for the application to be reviewed by the committee
The committee is tentatively scheduled to meet on the first Thursday in January, April, July, and October at 10 a.m., and applicants must be present at the meeting for their application to be considered.
The grant pays for promotion and advertising of an event in the unincorporated area of the county. This is a reimbursement grant, so applicants must be prepared to pay for the expenses and submit receipts and other documentation to receive awarded grant funds.
Applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the regularly scheduled quarterly meetings.
