The George Foundation makes grants to nonprofit groups operating in, and directly benefiting the people of Fort Bend County, Texas. Considerations for funding include the problem being addressed, the availability of existing resources and the degree of need within the areas of human services, education, youth, seniors, medical/health, community enhancement, and arts and culture, i.e. projects that have clear objectives and are accompanied by a plan for evaluating the short-term and long-term impacts of the project.



The George Foundation is focused on maximizing resources and minimizing duplication of services to promote family stability, support the developmental and emotional needs of children and youth; provide educational opportunities; and support independence and quality of life for the elderly.



Quarterly deadlines for submission of proposals to the Foundation are:
January 15th
April 15th
July 15th
October 15th


Note:  The July 15 deadline for 2015 has been extended to August 15
